The College of Business (COB) has been AACSB accredited for over 40 years. We offer BSBA, MBA, and MSA degrees and our School of Hospitality Management offers both a BS in Hospitality Management and an MS in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality. Additionally, the Miller School of Entrepreneurship offers a BS in Entrepreneurship. We are one of the largest Colleges of Business in the state with approximately 5, undergraduate and graduate students. To date, the COB has approximately faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge. The Department of Accounting within the College of Business at ECU has 18 faculty members and offers courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Department of Accounting is a unit within the College of Business that offers BSBA and MSA degrees and maintains AACSB accreditation. Job Duties The Department of Accounting within the College of Business at East Carolina University, is seeking a full-time, nine-month, Teaching Instructor to teach undergraduate Accounting courses beginning August .

The successful candidate will teach twelve semester hours during the fall and spring semesters at the undergraduate level in Accounting. The candidate will also be expected to provide service to the university, community, and profession, and any other duties as assigned by the department chair.

Contingent upon availability of funds. Minimum Education/Experience The qualified candidate will:Hold a minimum of a Master’s degree with at least 18 credit hours of Graduate coursework in the teaching field or related discipline from an accredited business school that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. Alternatively, Master’s degree with 5 years professional experience in the teaching field or related discipline from an accredited business school that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines.Have significant upper level Accounting experience.Possess the qualifications necessary to be designated a professionally qualified faculty member in accordance with AACSB standards.Candidate required to be a CPA.Candidates must demonstrate a commitment and proven record of excellence in teaching. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation N/A Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education Recent relevant work experience is preferred.
