Quality Control Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities :

Accurately inspects finished products to meet production standards before it’s shipped to customer. Hand insert product after inspection, seal packages and insert in final trays. Maintain strong attention to detail in order to accurately prepare needed paperwork in a timely manner. Request reprints for product that does not meet company standards. Follows directions and instructions of Production Manager. Notifies Production Manager of any quality issues, spoilage or reprints that are required. Follows all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position and department accurately. Strong computer skills to navigate Zelis quality control systems for the various machines Keep up with the quality control demand in a fast paced environment Follows established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies, department policies, procedures, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines. Creates packing slips and paperwork for shipping vendors Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent GED required 1-3 years’ experience in a quality control environment preferred Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

Physical Factors & Requirements:

Stand for long periods of time Able to lift 50 lbs. or more Reliable transportation to and from work Use standard office equipment Operate manual pallet jack Must be able to maintain good attendance Must be willing to work overtime as needed, significant overtime will be required during busy periods
