Fort Buchanan - Night Custodian

Night job hours between 9pm to 3am. Professional floor cleaning, stripping and waxing experience required. Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition the commissary's work, store, office, and restroom areas. Duties involve a combination of the following: Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and waxing & polishing floors; removing chips, trash, and other refuse; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; minor maintenance; and cleaning lavatories, and restrooms.

 Tasks Performed on Site:

Maintenance floor equipment (machines).

Floor cleaning (offices, store floor, breakrooms).

Floor shinning or buffing, as needed.

Floor waxing scheduled throughout the year.

Ability to operate all custodial equipment.

Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing,
repetitive bending, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

CLIENTS: Defense Commissary Agency (DECA)

Hourly pay rate is $17.20. This is a federal contract, as such employees receive a Health and Welfare (H & W) benefit in accordance with the Service Contract Act (SCA) per hour for the first 40 hours in a week.  The current H & W rate at this location is $4.57 per hour, up to 40 hours per week. 

Part time up to 25 hours per week

Paid sick days , vacation days , New Year’s, Thanksgiving, Christmas Holiday’s off.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
