Graphic Design Typesetter Graphic Design - Typesetter Location: Sedalia, Missouri This role is responsible for supporting the Marketing Services department by providing needed art illustrations and custom design layouts per sales rep specifications. Editing and combining designs templates are used to meet requirements. Limited illustrations are required to be produced from scratch. The role also supports Marketing by providing guidebook and price sheet layouts as well as templates, order forms and program informational materials for sales force to use when ordering custom printed pieces. The role also supports programming by providing layout images, information and components for ordering process for 4-color printing program. Job Responsibilities: Accurately typeset layout, format and proof materials to conform to size, program, school, and legal specifications and Jostens brand standards. Apply artwork where needed. Create high quality PDF files for Print Center and nylon plates for press operators. Create and update formats, templates, order forms, guidebooks, price sheets, and program informational materials for use by Marketing Services team, Marketing, Sales Reps and programming. Communicate questions, issues and suggestions with Marketing Services Reps, order coordinators and printing personnel to ensure understanding of the requirements and the resulting high quality printed materials. Proof Sales Reps custom design layouts and questions to ensure that the process schedule is met. Required: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 1-2 years of experience using various desktop software programs such as Adobe Suite, InDesign, Excel, Word, Publisher Creative and visualization skills in graphic designing Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to implement change Strong written communication skills (with emphasis on grammar, spelling and punctuation) Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Multi-tasking capabilities with a desire to learn new technology Strong organizational and prioritization skills ABOUT US: Celebrating over 125 years of business, Jostens has been a part of local communities, working with K-12 schools, colleges and universities, teams, and affiliation groups.
