Job Title: Mechanic Fabricator

Job Location: Vineland NJ

Position Summary

A Fabricator is responsible for creating metal componentsand structures by cutting bending and

shapingmaterials. They work with blueprints and technical drawings toensure accuracy and precision

in theirwork.

Basic Functions (include butnot limited to)

1. Supportwithout hesitation General Plant Safety Food Safety Food DefenseInitiatives and

Good Manufacturing Practiceswith an understanding that these are absolutes and are

Priority #1.

2. ist the Lead Mechanicwith the repair and maintain machinery and equipment in

accordance with diagrams operational manuals andmanufacturing specifications

3. Performpreventive maintenance functions as directed using the SAPTablets.

4. Work from a ladder safely.

5. Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Accuratelyunderstanding and following technical

drawingsand blueprints to create components that meetspecifications.

6. Cutting and ShapingMaterials: Using various tools and equipment such as saws shearsand

presses to cut and shape metal according toblueprints.

7. Welding and Joining Components:Using welding techniques (e.g. MIG TIG ARC) to join

metal components together to form completestructures.

8. Measuring and Inspecting: Usingmeasuring instruments to ensure that components meet the

required dimensions and quality standards.

9. Operating Fabrication Machinery: Safely and efficientlyoperating machinery such as lathes

drill pressesand grinders.

10. Maintaining Equipment:Regularly cleaning and maintaining fabrication equipment toensure

optimal performance.

11. Adhering to Safety Standards: Following safetyprocedures and guidelines to prevent

accidentsand injuries in the workplace

12. Removes and/orreplaces defective parts using hand and/or power tools

13. Maintains a safe and clean working environment whendoing repairs.

14. Follow and enforce companyGMP procedures and Policies.

15. Follow the LockOut/Tag Out procedures for machine and utilities when necessaryPage2 of3

16. Must besafety conscious.

17. Perform special requestsby Lead Mechanic/Maintenance Supervisor

18.Directs and supports contractors engaged in repairing andmaintaining facility equipment and

generalbuilding maintenance such as painters landscapers snow and iceremoval and general

grounds maintenanceactivities.

19. Must be able to work well withall levels of personnel whether individually or in a team

environment and especially must be able to interface andcommunicate with line operators

maintenancetechs and office staff to ist with repairs and troubleing

20. Willing to work any shift and overtime asrequired.

PhysicalDemands

Works in a manufacturingenvironment where the employee is regularly required to speak readsit

stand walk lift reach grasp and bend whilemoving about the facility. Must be able to move 75

pounds at a distance of 25 feet or more. Must be able tostand for an 810 hour shift (sometimes

longer)with regular breaks while performing repetitive work. May berequired to work overtime

weekends and/orholidays as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat fumesodors dust

oil slippery floors movingparts/equipment and risk of electrical shock. Earplugs safety glesbeard

nets (if facial hair exists) hairnets andsteeltoed / slipresistant shoes are required in the plantin

accordance with company GMP and safetystandards.

QualificationRequirements

High school diplomaor GED certificate required.

Will need to havetheir own tools to perform daily maintenance tasks.

Must be able to successfully p an oral/written test todemonstrate required knowledge/abilities

required of the position.

Prefer 2years prior maintenance experience in a manufacturingenvironment.

Performs otherduties/responsibilities as igned by Management

Proficiency in using various fabrication tools andequipment.

Understanding of mechanicalprinciples and how components fit together.

Ability to work with precision and accuracy to ensure qualityproducts.

Ability to lift heavy objects andstand for long periods.

Ability to troubleissues and find solutions.

Previous experiencein metal fabrication or related fields is preferred

May require certifications in welding or relatedfields.

Experience with specific weldingtechniques (e.g. TIG MIG ARC)

Knowledge offabrication materials (e.g. steel aluminum)

Experience with CNC machinery
