Position Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for programming software to ensure the efficient operation of our CNC and mill machines, producing high-quality products. You will be part of a growing team at the forefront of aerospace and additive manufacturing.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create and maintain all CNC programs for the shop floor using MasterCam software.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers (PMs) and Manufacturing Engineers (MEs) to evaluate quotes and ensure cost-effective programming solutions for both the customer and the company.
  • Work with PMs, MEs, vendors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for new jobs.
  • Coordinate the flow of jobs through the department and verify data before release to the shop.
  • Work with operations and engineering teams to resolve any programming issues.
  • Develop programs for touch probe programming for on-machine inspection and coordinate shifting. Support the development of standard procedures for touch probing.

 

Skill Requirements:

  • Commitment to a safety-first culture.
  • Proficiency in MasterCAM and SolidWorks.
  • Experience with 5-axis and/or Swiss programming.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks assemblies and nesting parts into billets for part families.
  • Knowledge of fixture concepts and designs.
  • Experience with Vericut or other verification software, including machine simulation, verification, graphics capturing, multi-operations with in-process models, Auto-Diff, OptiPath, etc.
  • Ability to maintain postprocessors for various machines and control types.
  • Proficiency in touch probe macro programming and establishing standards and procedures for safe and effective use of probes on the shop floor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a related two-year vocational school program with three years of related work experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working in cross-functional teams to support core business operations, ensuring timely delivery of quality products.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be a team player and willing to learn new skills and concepts.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

 

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to manufacturing areas requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes.
  • Ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit or stand as needed.
  • Walking on level surfaces periodically throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, and lifting as required to access documents or store materials.
  • Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Ability and comfort working in confined spaces while following proper safety protocols.
