Premium Brands Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Programmer / Analyst in Pataskala, Ohio.

Overview:

Focus on Merchandising functions and the systems supporting those functions. Assist our brands in the technical implementation and ongoing support of the Oracle Retail Merchandising Suite. Responsible for actively participating in definition and planning of technical implementation requirements including configuration, development, integration, conversion, performance, and testing. Work on multiple small to medium IT projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments. Develop solutions requiring analysis and research. Coach and mentor more junior technical staff. Work with business analysts, team members and customers to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Work with the systems life cycle. Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software. Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Support existing systems to meet Service Level Agreements and user expectations including user communication, system/job recoveries, system/job performance and documentation. Adhere to and ensure compliance security, standards and controls are integrated into each system including Sarbanes, PCI, and general audit.

25% of the time work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. 25% of the time be involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. 25% of the time support existing systems to meet Service Level Agreements and user expectations including user communication, system/job recoveries, system/job performance and documentation. Adhere to and ensure compliance security, standards and controls are integrated into each system including Sarbanes, PCI, and general audit computer. 15% of the time make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations. Has experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies. 10% of the time participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.

Minimum Requirements : Position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field of study. Foreign degree equivalent accepted.

The position requires five (5) years of experience as a Programmer Analyst or related job title and four (4) years of the following skills: Knowledge and understanding of architecture, application systems design and integration, as well as broad knowledge in other disciplines/ technologies/ processes that interact with the assigned function; Knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs; Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Unix, Scripting, Oracle Forms, and experience with Subversion (SVN), XML, J2EE and Web Services; Experience in Oracle Retail Merchandising Suite (RMS); Knowledge of Foundations (Item, Location, Supplier) and hierarchies, Purchase Order, Inventory Management (Transfers), Stock Ledger and Stock Counts; Experience with SOA concepts and configuration of Oracle Fusion Middleware; Experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
