Scope:
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible to perform a variety of routine inspection procedures to ensure quality at various stages of production. Controlling and documenting non-conforming, in-process assemblies, sub-assemblies and supplier parts. Working from blueprints, engineering change notices, or established operating procedures determines acceptance, rejection, or rework requirements or units. Prepares and maintains inspection / returned merchandise authorization reports and records. Requires the ability to interpret quality control specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive RMA (returned merchandise) product in and document customer rejection/complaint on RMA Traveler.
Maintain detailed paperwork/traceability records for each unit returned, including the proper storage of these records.
Coordinate product flow with RMA Lead or Supervisor into rework and test RMA areas.
Follow established procedures/checklist where necessary to ensure efficient movement of product.
Assure product is reworked and re-inspected maintaining the highest quality standards required.
Work with RMA Lead and Quality Engineers on TTM responsible escape to drive corrective and preventive actions on TTM workmanship returns.
As required by RMA Lead, take part in Failure Analysis activities including Root Cause Analysis using Error Proofing tools as it related to internal and external quality concerns and reporting.
Report severe damage, non-conformances and deviations to process or procedures to RMA Lead and/or Quality Control Manager.
Provide initial disposition on cause and responsibility of any TTM or supplier escapes.
Complete and file all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently; documents and reports quality issues during the production process to supervisor.
Follow all company Safety and ESD Program requirements.
Communicates regularly to supervisors and managers, suggests and composes procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment, and communicates to supervisors safety hazards and issues.
Properly handle and dispose all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations as directed by the EHS department.
All other assigned duties as required within the Quality organization.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 preferred.
High level of interpersonal and good communication skills. Reads, writes and understands English language.
Ability to perform all responsibilities of a bench/floor inspector in the electronics field.
Ability to interpret blueprints.
Computer skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to work up to 10 hours a day and weekends as needed based on business demands.
Capability to check work within close tolerances and ability to exercise good judgment.
Ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is required annually.
Willingness and ability to work in a team environment, assist other departments when workloads demand it and effectively work with all levels of the organization.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift and maneuver 1-25lbs.
Ability to work with or come in contact with chemical, physical (radiation, noise, etc) or biological agents which may pose health or safety hazards if improperly handled.
Regular attendance is an essential job function for this position.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
