Position Summary: The Case Manager provides case management services to children and families to facilitate safety, permanency, and wellbeing.
Location: Topeka
Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, community counseling, human development, child and family development, applied family and youth services, public health, health sciences, trauma studies, sociology/social services, substance abuse/addictions, early childhood education, or psychology from an accredited college/university.
Experience: Previous experience with children and family services preferred.
Licensure/Certification : Licensure by the Kansas BSRB is preferred. Driver’s license and valid auto insurance required.
Essential Duties:
Understand and support families' needs, including developmental stages, trauma, poverty, gender, race, ethnicity, and language. Engage with clients, placement providers, DCF, coworkers, and community partners. Share relevant information with families and professionals. Provide timely responses and home/community-based services such as caregiver/child interaction observation, resource coordination, crisis intervention, safety planning, skill building, client transport, and drug screens. Advocate for clients’ best interests through court testimony, school meetings, and coordinating mental health services. Complete thorough and timely documentation, including case logs, assessments, court reports, and social historiesJoin Us:
