Reports to: Value Stream Manager 

What will you do? 

Team Leadership: Lead by example, utilizing behavior-based and emotionally intelligent leadership principles. Oversee direct reports across shifts, ensuring consistency and standardization in operations. Manufacturing Operations: Manage day-to-day activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, encompassing steel machining, induction hardening, furnace heat treating, assembly, and more. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, finance, and other teams to ensure seamless production processes. Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, utilizing industry technologies, SAP, EAM, and other relevant tools. People Development: Foster a culture of integration and utilization of core values, emphasizing performance management, coaching, goal setting, and effective communication. Develop teams and individuals to higher levels of contribution and leadership. Financial Management: Demonstrate financial acumen through budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity of assigned teams. Operational Oversight: Function as the primary facilitator for designated cell(s), maintaining housekeeping, 5S responsibilities, and enforcing attendance policies.
Responsible for KRONOS Time and Attendance tracking, cross charging hours, enforcing attendance policy, and reconciling payroll adjustments and corrections. Team Collaboration: Hold regular team meetings, champion Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs), and work cross-functionally to address production issues.
Communicate and enforce company policies.

What are we looking for? 

Experience: 

Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume production setting. Leadership experience, with a focus on performance management and team development. Experience with quality control methods and tools, including hard gaging fixtures, laser gaging, and vision systems. Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence employees at all levels.

Criteria:

Associates Degree in Manufacturing or related field (Bachelor's Degree preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office, cloud-based web databases, SAP, EAM, Kronos, and other relevant tools. Computer skills, including electronic manufacturing/people systems (QAD, Oracle, KRONOS Dimensions, .
