Logistics Specialist

Under the direction of the Logistics Manager and with safety, efficiency and customer service a priority, the Logistics Specialist is accountable performing Logistics functions in a manner that will ensure prompt, efficient delivery of Porta Kleen services to its customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

1. Answer incoming customer calls and direct to appropriate party as needed.
2. Provide backup assistance for Routing and Dispatching Functions.
   1. Sanitation and Hydro Excavation Divisions
3. Aid drivers with daily obstacles and problem solving.
4. Complete after-hours hotel reservations.
5. Conduct route research in Roadnet and Samsara systems.
6. Other routing and dispatch functions as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Handle emergency responses to customer inquiries.
2. Ensure all personnel and equipment issues are swiftly addressed.
3. Has the authority to make unsupervised decisions consistent with the scope of responsibilities.
4. Other duties as assigned by Porta Kleen Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate’s Degree or higher in Business or Logistics preferred.
2. 1-2 years experience in transportation, logistics or dispatch.
3. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
5. Excellent prioritization skills.
6. High level organizational skills.
