With more than half of the 259 beds in our teaching hospital devoted to intensive care level services, we are the regional pediatric referral center for Florida's west coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures.
The Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital OR will work within our Operating Room, which features 10 fully equipped surgical rooms, 2 special procedure room serving pediatric patients of all acuity levels. Our busiest specialties are ENT, Urology and ortho but we also see many cases in general surgery, plastics, GI, neurosurgery, dental and ophthalmology.

Position Summary:
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse and performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange relevant information. Communication with external contacts involves providing or giving factual information
Education/Experince:
A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement Patient care experience in a pediatric health care setting preferredQUALIFICATIONS:
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or other healthcare related certification OR One year of experience in a clinical setting, providing patient care OR An external candidate enrolled in an approved BSN program OR Current JHACH employee enrolled in either an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing Practice.
