Responsibilities

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

  • Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Hand required and requested instruments and supply to surgeon during surgery.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instruments counts throughout procedures.
  • Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
  • CV tech experience preferred.
  • One year OR tech experience minimum.
  • Experienced Surgical Tech with open heart experience preferred.
  • Must be graduate of accredited surgical tech program.
