Finshed Goods Putaway

YOU

As a Shipper/Receiver - Finished Goods Pallet Putaway, you will be primarily responsible for stocking pallets of finished products in the Warehouse. This full-time position is scheduled Monday – Thurs, 4:00pm – 2:30 am, with overtime as determined by the department.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING  (% of Time)

Transfer finished goods pallets from the automatics department into warehouse locations. Stock transfer pallets systematically from a production managed storage location to a warehouse managed storage location. (70%)

Reprint labels that are mislabeled from the pallet wrapper. (10%)
 

Find pallets in the Warehouse using an empty bin report. (10%)

Other duties as assigned. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck Certification required. D.O.T. HazMat Training required (will certify at hire). 1-3 years of warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping experience preferred. Equipment: Operate forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack. Safety: Ability to prioritize safety by demonstrating safe work practices and promoting a safe work environment. Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiple and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to Work Independently: Follow both written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies. Attendance: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance in accordance with our attendance policy. Communication Skills: Speak in the most effective way to relay information to all departments and at all levels within the organization. Listen and ask questions to ensure understanding. Quality Standards Knowledge: Demonstrate an understanding of company quality standards and company quality control processes. Problem Solving: Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Teamwork: Ability to work with other team members to accomplish group goals Results Focus & Initiative: Ability to multi-task and take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Customer Service Skills: Apply customer service principles and processes on the job and with others. Reading Comprehension: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment and needs to constantly position self to maintain the operation of equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud. The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Columbus, OH.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY
$20.29 - $30.43 / hour + $2.00 shift differential
