We are currently hiring a Quality Technician to work Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm (Hours are flexible)

What you’ll do:

Participates as a team member and assists in developing Qualification Plans and R&D Test Requests, to support the Design Review process for new product development. Performs testing as specified in Qualification Plans and/or R&D Test Requests, or otherwise requested. Performs cosmetic inspection on various products to Hoya Quality Standards. Assists in writing Qualification Reports for R&D management. Collects and evaluates data for R&D Test Requests and reports the collected data to the job requestor. Uses the R&D tracking systems to monitor and close out job requests.

Qualifications:

High School diploma is required with a demonstrated interest in scientific/engineering fields. Associate’s degree in a STEM field is preferred. Working knowledge of R&D equipment and instruments and procedures, and/or cosmetic inspection techniques and standards. Comfortable working with and around chemicals in lab setting. Good communication skills (written and verbal). Mechanical dexterity is preferred, but not required.
