Gluer Operator

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Properly set up and monitor all gluing equipment during running process to assure cartons meet customer specifications. Handle all routine and preventative maintenance of company equipment on a regular basis. All equipment, parts and tools must be placed in their designated area after use. Stage product by following production schedule. Assure the integrity of the product. Notify the supervisor of defect trends, nonconforming gluing quality, and any orders that may be short. Monitor quality throughout gluing process in order to remove and segregate unacceptable product. Train all finishing crews and new glue operators. Complete all paperwork for the gluers as needed. Read job bag and ensure compliance with customer specifications. Check approved samples for proper gluing and set up of cartons. Responsible for Line Clearance in immediate work areas. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working area at all times. Performs other job duties as assigned by management or lead person.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED. Experience in General Manufacturing. Knowledge of gluing machines. Strong mechanical aptitude/skills. Proficient level of English Verbal & Written. Ability to read and understand a Job Bag. Must have basic math skills. Must have basic computer skills. Excellent manual dexterity. Demonstrate initiative in problem solving. Must be attentive to detail and have excellent organizational skills. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive manual tasks with frequent rotations. Must be able to comprehend and follow all job procedures and safety protocols
