Description and Requirements

What you'll do:

This role is for an Administrator of Mechanical & Thermal design tools in the Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), based out of Morrisville, North Carolina. The mission is core to the Server Development organization by supporting a suite of design tools to advance mechanical and thermal development of ThinkSystem server offerings. MCAD Administration is part of a larger team that is responsible for ECAD and MCAD design tool environments are in place for engineering teams located around the globe. This candidate will be an active member of the development team that is highly motivated to engage, understand and solve the technical challenges of today and provide the tools necessary to shape the server designs of tomorrow.

Expected responsibilities will include:

Install, configure, and maintain a world-wide MCAD tools environment for the ISG Server development organization Provide configuration and customization of tools for a consistent user experience Provide a first point-of-contact for engineers through support and documentation Maintain MCAD tool licenses and license daemons for access control and upgrades as new feature/content is available Work with PTC/Creo and other Application Engineers to debug Library and Design Issues Generate reports on tools usage for potential contract modifications and optimizations Provide technical expertise in vendor contract negotiations

Basic Qualifications :

5+ years’ experience with MCAD Design Tools Administration Associate’s of Science degree in a related technical discipline Familiarity with PLM systems PTC Windchill/PLM Experience in Windchill server environment and support Experience in PTC/Creo Administration, including installation, configuration and maintenance Proficiency in Windows NT scripting

Preferred Qualifications:

Tools administration supporting a global engineering organization BS in Mechanical Engineering or relatedtechnical discipline Mechanical design modeling experience Oracle or SQL database administration/management Experience with FlexLM License server management OpenLM experience is a plus Proficiency in Python or VBScript languages
