Roles and Responsibilities:
As a member of the team, you will contribute by:
  • Performing geotechnical field investigations
  • Drafting geotechnical engineering reports
  • Preparing cost estimates and proposals
  • Performing routine tests and computations associated with geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and field observations
  • Performing laboratory testing and analyses in support of construction and geotechnical engineering projects
  • Help in maintaining current laboratory AASHTO accreditation records and equipment
  • Attending project meetings, both in-house and with clients
  • Occasional travel and work in remote areas under adverse conditions
  • Occasional lifting of approximately 75 pounds

RequirementsBasic Qualifications:
  • 0-4 years of experience for Entry-Level
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related engineering field; Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related is preferred
  • Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering/Engineer-In-Training (EIT) exam or scheduled
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record

Requirements
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering . Florida P . (Professional Engineering) License . 10+ Years’ experience in transportation (roadway) design . Must have a good understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO Green Book. Knowledge and experience with MicroStation, InRoads and/or Geopak . Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment. Major Skills: A senior roadway design engineer with good technical skills to oversee roadway design projects for FDOT and various Counties. Knowledge of FDOT standards, details and processes, such as their ERC web portal. Experience in progressing a project through conceptual phase (PDE) to final design, construction documents and construction support. Able to guide and oversee junior engineers. Technical knowledge of roadway design – able to advance prokects, direct projects and QA/QC Hands on experience with Microstation , ORD is a plus
