Physician Biller

As the  Physician Biller , you will be asked to ensure self-pay accounts are billed in a timely and accurate fashion. Performs daily review of self pay patients using system generated face sheets, reports and computer assisted eligibility applications. Interacts with Hospital staff, physicians, outside agencies, patients and their family members to ensure effective guest relations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Experience with medical terminology, electronic claim submission, accounts receivable follow-up and writing appeals a must. Ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, and possess exceptional attention to detail.
• Reviews all face sheets for data accuracy and completion. When necessary, checks for insurance information using computer/electronic eligibility applications.
• Makes corrections, if necessary, on face sheet and in the computer system.
• Calls patients as needed, to verify insurance information and update system.
• Assist patients with setting up budget arrangements.
• Performs duties as assigned

Required:

• Physician Medical Practice billing experience required.
• Strong computer (eClinicalWorks and Meditech) experience
• Customer-service orientation
• High School diploma required.
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
