The Programmer Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, development and maintaining integration solutions across our enterprise application portfolio. Participates and may coordinate workflow-related issues and design, build and test interfaces between disparate systems, and support production solutions. Facilitates defining and documenting requirements using structured analysis methods and coordinates data analysis and design training sessions, as needed. Performs other duties as needed.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field required or an additional seven years of related experience required in health care or information technology in lieu of degree. Minimum one year of experience required; preferably in a healthcare related field. As a requirement of this position you must complete Loma Linda University (LLUH) Proficiency within the designated application(s) and/or module(s) you are hired into. Must receive a cumulative passing score on the associated projects and exams and receive a passing score within three attempts on the associated exams and projects. This LLUH proficiency must be achieved within the initial 90 day probationary period. Other systems similar certification requirements may apply, and will be discussed during application and hiring process.



Demonstrates strong technical and communications skills, delivers technical solutions to business problems, and interact successfully and effectively within the IT department, with Business Analysts, business SMEs and leaders. Position requires technical knowledge in all areas of system development life cycle, database management and some experience with using development tools such as PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode API, Integration Broker; Web Development tools including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XSL as appropriate, WebLogic, Apache, Tuxedo, other integration engines, internet protocols, and mobile web deployment. Experience with Interface Engine development in tools such as: Cloverleaf, Sybase e*Biz Impact, OpenLink, OpenEngine, WebSphere, Microsoft EventHUB/Biztalk or others is preferred. Experience in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, and Visual Basic is preferred. Experience integrating business processes, HL7 standards and XML data format, CCD, and other healthcare-required data interchange is preferred. Familiarity with various enterprise integration patterns and exposure to cleaning and standardizing multiple sources of data. Some knowledge in clinical or business/revenue cycle workflow in healthcare. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Access, and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas, vendors, and customers. Excellent analytic, communication, and documentation skills.
