Summary
A Polysmonographer is responsible for performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required by the hospital and within the scope of licensure in Maine. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: Completion of an accredited educational program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology or completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a sleep technician.
License/Certifications: Current credentialing by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), American Board of Sleep Medicine as a Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or National Board for Respiratory Care as a Sleep Disorders Specialist (RRT-SDS or CRT-SDS).
