This Distribution Superintendent’s position will be based in Mims, FL and will be responsible for the day-to-day activities at the distribution facilities in Mims, FL. Interfacing with the national logistics organization to ensure the efficient and effective use of product distribution resources.Understanding and compliance to DOT requirements
Ensuring truck maintenance procedures are followed & PM program maintained
Ensuring that the Linde Quality Assurance program is maintained
Utilizing best practices to meet the Distribution KPI goals
Continuously finding ways in increase productivity
The responsibilities include but are not limited to, day to day operations of distribution location, communicating with internal groups, billing/invoicing, monitoring EAM work orders for compliance, hiring, cost control and QA training.The candidate should have basic knowledge of DOT Regulations, computer programs (Word/Excel), people
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintaining compliance to Linde Safety StandardsImplementing safety programs
Managing Driver & Mechanic vacation schedules
Manage Monthly cost of the Distribution center
Weekly communication emails, equipment rundowns and Driver headcount etc.
Coordinating required training and testing as needed
Managing truck drivers and maintenance personnel
Managing cryogenic product trailer spare parts inventory
Efficiently maintaining the material condition of delivery units
Ensuring compliance will all safety (both internal and DOT) requirements at all times
Interviewing, hiring, and training new drivers to fill open positions
Ensure training records are kept on all employees and all necessary training is scheduled, attended, and completed.
Ensure the housekeeping of distribution areas is maintained
Work as a team with the Facility Manager, Production Superintendent and with Distribution personnel to maintain high levels of productivity
Manage fleet maintenance schedules to minimize impact on operations, while maintaining the material condition of the equipment
Contribute to Linde's productivity initiatives by finding and implementing cost reduction/lean/six sigma projects and ideas
Qualifications
Qualifications:
