Position at Wilsonart This position is in our smaller distribution location and not at our manufacturing facility. This individual will perform normal warehousing functions such as filling customer orders, inspecting material, and packing material for shipment as needed in the assigned department/location and performs other tasks as required. Therefore, we provide: Holiday Pay Accrued Paid Vacation upon hire Paid Time Off during first year of hireESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors Check and place materials in the correct bin Check material against the manifest and report discrepancies Inform supervisor and photograph all defective materials Cut down over-sized laminate and core to fill pending orders Read, interpret, process, and pack orders Assist the needs of the customer KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to learn inventoried materials Ability to learn packing techniques Ability to learn proper material handling techniques Ability to understand and follow directions Ability to work independently Ability to drive a lift truck Ability to read and understand customer orders Ability to learn to operate a panel saw Ability to operate a forklift boom and clamp Ability to move and handle stone product MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE 1+ years of work experience in a warehouse setting Experience operating a forklift and moving material is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Continuous physical exertion such as walking, pushing, climbing, and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (> 50 lbs) is required. Examples: grounds staff and EMS
