ICF is seeking a Technology Generalist to support a new science and engineering innovation program. Your work will contribute to enabling the U.S. to uphold its leadership in innovation in science and engineering, helping to support the National Science Foundation’s Convergence Accelerator . NSF is a federal agency that is one of the world’s largest funders of basic research. You will help support the acceleration of data and emerging technologies in an innovation process that has a direct societal impact. Your experience in data science, future of work, quantum, AI, ocean science, and misinformation/disinformation will help support use-inspired research into practice.

This role has a hybrid work schedule with a few remote work days from home and will be based on-site in Alexandria, VA. This is an opportunity to contribute to an important project from its beginning, work with the latest and emerging technologies, and all while building a great career at ICF

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting program officers in reviewer identification and recruitment, scientific support on merit review panels, post‐award management, program portfolio analysis, and community outreach Assist in Program Planning Assist in Review Management Assist in Program Management Assist in Award Management Assist in Post-Award Oversight

Required Qualification/Skills:

Master’s or Ph.D in NSF‐supported fields (Computer Science is preferred)

OR a minimum of 12 years of field related (IT, Computer Science, etc.) experience and certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Project management/proven business acumen in managing complex projects and budgets Background in use-inspired best practices like human-centered design, user-discovery, and research synthesis; as well as an understanding of transition to practice pathways. Experience in managing research projects such as on a large research team, or experience providing this kind of support to government funding agencies as a Science and Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) contractor Familiarity with research, project and program management Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote Calendar and schedule management experience using Outlook Proficient with agency collaboration tools: Zoom, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Box, Slack and Microsoft SharePoint Must be able to automate and innovate
