Herzing University- Online has open opportunities for Adjunct Faculty to teach Natural Sciences in our General Education Department Opportunities include Microbiology and Anatomy & Physiology courses. The primary responsibility of Adjunct Faculty is to create a learning environment that is engaging, inspiring, and supports students in achieving their highest academic potential. 

HOURS: Non‐Degree students; Associate’s students; Bachelor’s students; Online Courses
Adjunct faculty must log-in at least 5 days per week and must conduct one "live office session" per week (approximately 45 minutes in duration). Annual training and professional development activities required.

Requirements:

18 credits related to the science courses being taught 

Preferred:

Teaching experience; online teaching experience strongly preferred

Primary Responsibilities:
 The position's responsibilities fall into eight basic areas.

Subject Matter Expertise Effective Communication Pedagogical Mastery Operational Excellence Appreciation and Promotion of Diversity Assessment of Student Learning Utilization of Technology to Enhance Teaching and Learning Continuous Improvement

These competencies, as identified by the University's academic community, encompass the knowledge, skills, and behaviors essential to a faculty member's success in the classroom and provide the basis for the faculty hiring, evaluation and development process.
