Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in New York, NY, for a duration of 13 weeks. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols and quality standards.
  2. Prepare and analyze specimens, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids, using laboratory equipment and instruments.
  3. Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed.
  5. Adhere to safety protocols and quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  7. Participate in training and educational activities for laboratory staff, students, and healthcare professionals.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory records at all times.
  9. Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
  10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by laboratory management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
  2. Current certification or licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State.
  3. Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
  4. Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and instrumentation.
  5. Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and computer systems.
  6. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  9. Flexibility to work various shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
