State Truck Collision LLC is seeking an experienced auto body worker to join our growing team of exceptional employees.

Some experience doing box and roof repair/rebuilding and body work on large vehicles preferred.

This includes the disassembly, fabrication of parts via cutting/measuring/welding, and proper reassembly of all parts on a truck body/box and roof. Candidate should also be willing to work in other areas of the shop when needed. State Truck Collision, LLC. is a family run business in the process of expanding and looking for some fresh faces to join our team.

Experience working with commercial vehicles a huge plus, i.e., tractor trailers, box trucks, buses, vans, forklifts. This is NOT a car shop.

Must be a team player

Hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday with opportunity for more hours.

PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE, and hard work is recognized.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate replacement parts using hand and power tools.
  • Repair aluminum and fiberglass trailer and straight truck roofing.
  • Follows established organizational safety procedures and DOT regulations.
  • Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
  • Bolts or welds replacement parts in position using wrenches or welding equipment.
  • Restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance.
  • Uses hand and power tools to remove or repair damaged parts, weld as needed, and properly install new parts.
  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
  • Performs metal and fiberglass repairs and specializes in fixing external bodywork on fleet.
  • Performs repair work on truck bodies replacing front-end components, body components, doors, frame under body components; hammering out dents, buckles, and other defects using blocks and hammers; filing, grinding, and sanding repaired body surfaces; filling holes, dents, and seams; removing damaged fenders, panels, and grills; welding replacement parts in place.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Technical school degree and/or previous related experience in truck/auto collision repair.
  • Ability to work with a variety of metals and plastics (fiberglass, plastic, aluminum, and steel)
  • Ability to work on top of scaffolding, ladders, rolling staircases, and equipment roofs.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs. and bend, climb, crawl, squat, and reach.
  • Must have own set of tools.
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check, drug test, and MVR record check.
