We are looking for an Automation Technician to help support day-to-day functions for critical engineering projects and improvements. As a Trex Automation Technician, you’ll be a liaison between Automation, OEMs, Manufacturing and Maintenance. This role is a key member of our Automation team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Put safety first – always. Work as a team to drive our “people first” culture. Update documentation, bind, and distribute. Review daily logs and discuss with operators. Attend at least one shift hand-off per day. Classify equipment and manage inventory, including order management. Work with operators on training opportunities. Provide guidance to contractors on work. Review any incoming material quality issues. Help troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and online PLC issues with the equipment. Field requests from operators and maintenance and follow up on requests. Work on documenting equipment functionality and creating training modules. Work on add-on solutions. Be on-call as needed for any after-hours support. Interface with vendors to get needed information. Do simple AutoCAD drawings when necessary, including SolidWorks.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 1-2 years of manufacturing experience is required, automation experience is preferred. If you have experience writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training agendas, and understand complex manufacturing equipment, we want to hear from you
