Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – RN
 
Currently seeking qualified Registered Nurse (RN) candidates to staff full-time 13-week contracts on the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a great hospital in Muncie, Indiana. We have several opportunities available on night shift. 2 years of recent ICU experience is required. Current pay is $46-$57 per hour, but this does depend on contract availability.

Responsibilities of the ICU - RN

Organize and deliver the care of a group of patients with needs of varying complexity.including Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, continuous IV sedation, Cardiac and Vasoactive drips and titration, Isolation Precautions/Use of PPEPlan, direct, assess, and provide nursing care according to the policies and procedures of the hospital and department.Provide Direct patient care in the ICU setting.Monitor and assess critically ill patient conditions while administering medications, treatments, and procedures ordered by the Provider.Operate and manage advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and multiple IV pumps.Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans.Respond promptly to changes in patient status or emergencies, and be prepared to provide immediate intervention.Educate patients and family members regarding medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in an electronic medical record.Adhere to hospital policies and protocols while maintaining safety standards to ensure quality patient care. Participate in any continuous education and training to stay in compliance.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse – RN 

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensed within the state of Indiana2 years of recent and related experience, as required by the facilityMust be able to work independently, yet together as part of a teamMust be able to remain calm under pressureProficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordinglyActive BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility
