Hours 9a-530pm

Days: Monday- Friday

There is some OT on Weekdays if needed.

Must be open to overtime on weekends depending on month end needs.

JOB PURPOSE

Shipping Clerk are responsible for ensuring proper and safe packaging when preparing shipments, working with internal departments to ensure the process is efficient and timely. Shipping Clerks must be flexible to work extended shifts and weekends.

CORE JOB DUTIES

• Follows Established Work Instructions, and Shipping procedures.

• Ability to read sales orders and understand shipping directions given.

• Assist in of training of new Employees / or new processes with existing.

• Processing of International Shipping, documentation and logistics coordination.

• Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped

• Ensure labelling information and quantity accuracy when preparing shipment to ensure product quality.

• Verify inventory and report any shortages to Finished Goods team

• Inserts items into containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.

• Process orders based on the preferred / routed shipping system (e.g. UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.)

• Appropriate interaction with delivery and freight company personnel

• Maintain appropriate 5S conditions. Keeping warehouse aisles and locations inside and outside clean, organized and free of clutter.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

• High school diploma/GED preferred

• General Warehouse Experience, will train as needed. Shipping Experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines

• Good math knowledge

• Ability to work effectively with team members, other departments, management

• Is a self-starter, motivated and engaged

• Good communication skills

• SAP Experience is preferred

• MS Suite (Outlook, excel, word) is preferred

• Good attendance and work ethic

Physical Requirements

Lifting up to 50lbs. with assistance.May require pushing, pulling, squatting, reaching, bending, carrying, lifting, walking.Use of proper ergonomicsWear steel-toe shoes/boots meeting the OSHA standard ASTM F2413-11Standing for 8 hours or longerPrevious forklift experience is helpful

The base pay range $22 per hour is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
