Job Summary
As a PACU nurse, you will be part of the team responsible for ensuring patients safely wake from anesthesia after surgery. In this role, you will observe patients for side effects, monitor and record vital signs, monitor patient consciousness, and perform post-operative tasks. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, physicians, and other patient care team members to provide a high level of care.
You must have a detailed understanding of nursing ethics and professional practice standards, relevant state regulations, and standard PACU policies. An RN must also possess excellent communication, critical thinking, organizational, and computer skills.
We are looking for a versatile nurse who is willing to collaborate with a diverse team of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals. Our ideal applicant is compassionate, steady under pressure, and capable of prioritizing when faced with the demands of treating high-acuity patients.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited nursing program
A minimum of one year of experience working in a PACU preferred
Licensure and Certifications
Registered Nurse Licensure within the state of practice
Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
