POSITION SUMMARY: Customer Service orientated position primarily responsible for greeting and welcoming, seating, and thanking guests at the restaurant according to Potomac Family Dining Group and Applebee’s brand standards for guest service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

Greets and seats all guests in a friendlyAssists in maintaining the overall guest flow of theEnsures seating service is rotated among server area assignments wheneverOpens doors for arriving and departingRemains visible in the FOH and forward facing the mainOccasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance isInteracts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeatCompletes assigned opening and closing side work asParticipates in the clearing and resetting of the dining room tables using Applebee’s team deliveryObserves guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests’Maintains a clean and organized workAbility to explain and demonstrate usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices toAbility to drive sales with suggestive sellingAccommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs, high chairs,Manages the waitlist when the restaurant isMay occasionally be scheduled to serve guests in a Carside To-Go or ServerFills out featureAssists in general Front of House maintenance functions including:maintaining restroomslight cleaning such as dusting light fixtures/furniture/woodwork/artifactswashing and/or wiping windowssani-bucket rotationsetting up the expo lineemptying trashrolling silverwaremaintaining restaurant curb appeal

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
