We are looking to for a great new Instructor to our training team 


Qualifications: 
Applicants must have a minimum of:
  • One (1) year of experience working as a certified or licensed medical professional (EMT, Paramedic, RN etc.) 
  • At least six (6) months working as an FTO, or have comparable training  and education experience.
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Certified or licensed in a medical profession
  • EMS Preferred (min 1 yr. experience)
  • Preferred experience teaching in an academic or clinical setting.

Details:
  • Starting rate: $25.00
  • Not division-specific, Willing to have a primary report at Sac-East Rancho Cordova or Dublin/Livermore.
  • Hours: Part-Time, 1-2 shifts per week 
  • **80% instruction 20% Admin**  


Basic Duties: Teach assigned topics, classes, modules and courses. Complete and submit daily class records. Be available for one on one or additional training requests.  Stay up-to-date Knowledge of Protocols, policies and Procedures for the Company and LEMSAs. 

Responsibilities:
  • Abide by and uphold all NORCAL Policy and Procedures.
  • Advise and mentor crew members as an advocate of NORCAL’s Core Values.
  • Maintain all necessary certifications.
  • Provide course instruction based on approved syllabus/course lesson plans and ensure learning objectives are met.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate the learning styles of a diverse student enrollment.
  • Assist in the administration and grading of examinations.
  • Organize facilities, training presentations, material, and equipment prior to event.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and report on outcomes.
  • Proactively handle arising issues and trouble shoot emerging problems.
  • Assist in curriculum development, implement changes and updates as required.
  • Keep accurate daily attendance records and recording absentee information in a roster after each class meeting and communicating any attendance concerns to Senior Training Specialist.
  • Submit accurate records for continuing education courses.
  • Tutor and provide student assistance as needed.
  • Participate in train the trainer sessions, and other education opportunities.
  • Always maintain professional standards.
  • Maintain necessary equipment and supplies inventory.
  • Other training duties as assigned.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as lesson plans, protocols,safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability towrite routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups ofcustomers or employees.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructionsfurnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving severalconcrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications/Licenses: Valid California Driver’s License. DMV Driving Record in goodstanding in accordance with company insurance standards. Updated Medical Credentialswhere applicable.

Equipment: To perform this job successfully, an individual must use a variety of classroomand medical equipment including computers, laptops, ipads, TVs, speakers, microphones,projectors, gurney, wheelchairs, training mannequins and other medical and ambulancerelated devices. Additional technical equipment (ESB, HDMI, VGA etc.)
