The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position.However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.

Must be able to operate prog presses Assembles, installs, and aligns the die in press Starts the press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction. Runs web through die Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjust machine to correct errors. Reports any problems to Supervisor Able to identify all dies and part numbers on all presses. Able to identify and use feeder, straightner, and press controls properly on all prog presses. Able to set up proper flatness of steel on all prog presses. Setup and obtain first piece approval on prog, tandem, robotic tandem and transfer presses. Follow established procedures and fills out and submits appropriate paperwork for die changes. Operates crane and lift truck as required at setup or to assist production, steel receiving or tool room. Document, record and submit setup dates on new jobs. Assist with production and make ready such as scrap chutes, oilers, sensors, etc. Program smart pacs on prog presses. Do fundamental trouble shooting on items such as stock alignments, robot and end of arm tooling, fingers, etc. during setup and production run. Pre-stage material, dies, chutes, etc and check steel availability. Track and record die set time and meet established setup times. Run presses during lunch breaks or absences if necessary De-stage jobs by pulling dies, saving last piece, returning hardware, chutes, etc. to appropriate storage location, and also pre-stage for the next job. Keep tools and work area neat and clean. Train other associates as directed Be involved in continuous improvement effort Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

·Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures located at K:/winapps/data/TS Team/Procedures

·Excellent attendance

·Cooperative attitude

·Able to work required overtime with minimal notice

·High housekeeping standards and good safety record

·Provide some your own hand tools

·Able to obtain company crane and hilo license

·Valid drivers license


Required Experience

Education and/or Experience:

High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

Language Skills :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and 

correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and of organization.

Mathematical Skills :

Basic Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Business Judgment:

Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner. Able to apply common sense understanding and use appropriate judgment in routine business situations with supervisor, co-workers and customers
