Start your career with Publix Super Markets as an Electronics Engineer and become a valued owner here at Publix The purpose of this position is to support all Industrial Operations automated mechanical, electrical, electronic controlled equipment and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) controlled systems.

The Electronics Engineer will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair individual pieces of equipment and or complex equipment processes and control systems, participates in complex projects including the implementation, replacement, and upgrade of equipment control systems, production lines, and industrial utilities systems. This can include manufacturing equipment, material handling equipment (conveyors, sorters, robots, and automated storage and retrieval systems), and refrigeration control systems. As the subject matter expert (SME) on these systems, the engineer is responsible for training less experienced Industrial Maintenance technicians in these areas. 
The impact this position has on Publix is maintaining a quicker response to equipment downtime by having the ability to troubleshoot electronics on equipment which allows the manufacturing and distribution facilities to continue to produce and ship product to retail.
