Description of Work

The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln prepares today’s students for tomorrow’s greatest local, state, and global challenges around food, energy, water, and societal systems. As an Academic Advisor, you will: Provide high quality academic advising and student success coaching regarding coursework, degree program completion, and professional career opportunities for students enrolled in college-level interdisciplinary undergraduate degree programs offered by the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Maintain data on enrollment and retention, develop retention strategies. Assist students with referrals to appropriate campus and non-campus offices for academic and non-academic issues. Perform additional duties including active recruitment of new and prospective students, career coaching, New Student Enrollment advising, coordinate and teach a zero-credit student success seminar, and other duties as assigned.
