Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities
1. Teach 30 minute group, private and semi-private swim lessons to children of all ages and ability levels
2. Teach 30 minute group, private and semi-private swim lessons to adults of all ages and ability levels
3. Communicate with Swim Lesson Coordinator on a consistent basis for scheduling purposes
4. Attend all scheduled staff meetings
5. Provide feedback and areas of improvement to swim lesson participants to help guide them through their swimming journey
6. Facilitate swim tests to children in order to place them in desired sessions
7. Represent the LMU Campus Recreation department in and around the pool area
8. Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requisite Qualifications
Typically a Bachelor’s degree.
American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. American Red Cross Lifeguard and Water Safety Instruction Certification preferred.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Swim Instructor
Knowledge of water hazards, pool safety, lifesaving techniques and first aid; principles and techniques of swimming and lifesaving; and appropriate safety precautions and procedures
Salary Range
$16.04 - $24.04 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
