Reports to: Assembly / warehouse Supervisor

Position Summary: To begin learning Laclede standards of quality for product produced at Laclede. This is an introductory training position where you will begin learning how to operate the industrial fork trucks, use the hand held scanners to pack orders.

Focus: Warehouse

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Operates industrial truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Performs the forklift check at the beginning of the shift.
  • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled and enters on handhelds.
  • Weighs pallets, enters the transaction in Epicor, and attaches proper paperwork to the pallet.
  • Weigh and wrap skid and place them in the correct shipping area
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
  • Learn proper ways of loading and unloading freight from trucks.
  • Learn how to check for damaged freight and sign paper work.
  • Learn how to pack John Deere cross dock.
  • Learn data entry for John Deere cross dock.
  • Learn data entry for Shipping Clerk position and Fulfillment Workbench.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, or crawl
  • Must be able to lift, pull, or push 50lbs, at times may be asked to lift more
  • Environment is non-climate controlled
  • Production floor is typically loud
  • Must wear all required PPE
