Steel Estimator

Responsibilities:

• Review drawings, prepare takeoffs, and create proposals.
• Estimate project engineering hours.
• Track outstanding proposals and aid in sales projections.
• Review revised project drawings for scope changes and prepare change orders.
• Communicate with clients regarding bid scope, due dates, etc.
• Additional responsibilities may include project coordination, shop drawing reviews, submittal preparation, etc., based on candidate's skills and experience.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of steel detailing, estimating, or steel fabrication is advantageous.
• High School diploma required; Associates degree or higher is a plus.
• Enthusiastic with a desire to succeed and develop technical skills.
• Strong attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team or independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Software skills with BlueBeam, Excel, and Trimble Connect are advantageous.
• Ability to read construction documents is a plus.
