Position Overview:

The Material Handler is a crucial part of our warehouse operations, responsible for the efficient movement and handling of products throughout the facility. This role involves tasks such as loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring that materials are readily available for order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring that materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Material Movement: Transport materials and products to designated areas within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Inventory Organization: Organize and store materials in an orderly manner, following warehouse layout and storage guidelines.
  • Order Preparation: Assist in picking and staging materials for order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Stock Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and restock materials as needed to maintain adequate supply for production and shipping.
  • Quality Control: Inspect materials for quality and report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material movement, inventory levels, and other relevant data.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred but not required.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all material handling tasks.
  • Equipment Operation: Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety procedures.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
