Job Summary:

The Director of Advanced Manufacturing/Robotics will be responsible for developing and implementing new strategies for the Advanced Manufacturing programs at Hocking College, supervising instructors, engaging businesses and industry in apprenticeship and employment opportunities, advising students, monitoring program outcomes, instructing courses, and serving as the lead instructor of the Advanced Manufacturing certificate and degree programs. The Director will also be responsible for conducting an annual curriculum review and providing oversite and management of the Hocking College Workforce Development and Training Center in Lancaster, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement new strategies for the Advanced Manufacturing programs Supervise instructors including hiring and training Engage businesses and industry in apprenticeship and employment opportunities Advise students including developing and sustaining student relationships through participation in orientation, intrusive advising, coaching and mentorship Monitor program outcomes attendance grades retention classroom observations instructor evaluations Instruct courses and serve as the lead instructor of the Advanced Manufacturing certificate and degree programs Provide actionable information to the Associate Dean of Workforce Development and the Dean of Workforce Development Annual curriculum review including but not limited to forming and maintaining an Advanced Manufacturing Advisory Board of industry experts and employers Provide oversite and management of the Hocking College Workforce Development and Training Center in Lancaster

Requirements:

Master's Degree in Engineering Technology or related field (or combination of advanced degree and career experience in related field) Minimum of 5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing, robotics and automation Experience in curriculum development and program management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and industry partners Strong leadership and management skills
