Position Summary:
The Youth Art Therapy Bereavement Facilitator is responsible for assisting with the development, in collaboration with the Youth Art Therapy Bereavement Group Coordinator, a viable Youth Bereavement Group work program as an integrated element of the Bereavement component of the Hunterdon Hospice organization. Addresses with children and parents in a support group context, the inter-related psychosocial, emotional, and environmental dynamics which constitute the normal mourning process and grief work following a death in one’s family system.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
Facilitates children or parent support group within the program context Maintains documentation associated with group participation Connects families to community resources when appropriateWork Contact Group
Hunterdon Hospice Interdisciplinary Team, Hunterdon Hospice families, Families in the community who have experienced loss and community schools and agenciesReporting Relationships
Reports to: Hunterdon Hospice Director Supervises: Staff and Volunteers of the Youth Art Bereavement GroupQualifications:
Minimum Education: Required: Associate's Degree Certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training in Children’s Bereavement Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree Master’s Degree in Social Work, Nursing, Counseling or related field
