Overview

The Cylinder Dock Worker is responsible for loading/unloading, filling, cleaning and performing repairs on cylinders of various sizes and tanks, as well as other duties around the plant.

Responsibilities

Unload and inspect, repair and fill propane cylinders and reload onto delivery truck Clean and paint tanks and cylinders as necessary Perform cycle counts as needed. Perform plant maintenance as needed Maintain high level of customer service Notify supervisor of inventory levels based on usage Know and adhere to company and industry policies and procedures for safety and compliance Maintain a clean and organized work area. Always clean when time allows Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors and customers. Keep supervisor informed of any problems and/or any issues that need attention All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Legal authorization to work in the United States High School Diploma or equivalent required Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check Ability to exchange accurate information with MFA Oil customers and co-workers in English Must exhibit a high level of responsibility, integrity, dependability and stability Willingness and ability to become propane certified as determined by the state that is serviced Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery Physical ability to move and position self to move and retrieve products and supplies form shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory or tanks/cylinders weighing up to 100 pounds Ability to visually observe and inspect items and work environment for regular job responsibilities and safety Vision, hearing, speech and ability to detect odors are essential Willingness to work with hazardous materials Willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions Must be able to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or sitting) for up to eight hours per shift Willingness to ascends/descends ladders up to 6 feet to handle inventory or products Willingness and ability to obtain a forklift operator’s license
