Blue Nile is looking for a Part-Time Seasonal Greeter who is eager for an exciting opportunity to join our retail showroom in Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate understands the white glove culture and has a passion to educate customers about jewelry purchases. A Greeter at Blue Nile is outgoing, passionate and strives to help others. The company’s customer service goal is to enhance and grow the brand connection experience for customers. The Greeter is the first point of contact for customers entering the store. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide a warm, friendly greeting to customers, assist with any initial questions or concerns, and guide them to appropriate areas or associates within the store.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet customers as they enter the store
- Assist with managing client appointments, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic within the showroom
- Provide information about store layout, processes, promotions, and services
- Utilize a tablet to view customer appointments, schedule appointments, and access product information
- Answer customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate associate
- Support other staff members during busy periods or when additional help is needed
- Communicate the Blue Nile difference, instilling trust and confidence in our brand
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service and continually develop your product knowledge to educate customers
- Communicate accurate information and set clear expectations for customers, ensuring an on-brand Blue Nile experience
- Help create and maintain a service culture focused on the customer, enhance the buying experience and build relationships that lead to long term business growth
- Continuously maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
Requirements
Previous retail sales or customer service experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Jewelry experience a plus but not required
- Excellent interpersonal, creative problem solving, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to use a tablet efficiently
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and high integrity
- Ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Authorized to work in the U.S
Scheduling Requirements:
- Flexibility and willingness to adjust to scheduling needs
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Availability to work through Valentine’s Day 2025
Benefits
The hourly pay range for this job is $22 - $23. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job- related knowledge, skills & experience, among other factors.
