Job Description: Schedule and dispatch workers, equipment, or service vehicles for the conveyance of materials, normal service, or emergency repairs rendered outside the place of business. Record significant information addressing problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions. Duties may include using radio, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments and compiling reports on work progress.

Receive calls and record significant information Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions Receive and dispatch work schedules Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance Receive and prioritize incoming requests for dispatch requests. Coordinate and schedule dispatch routes to drivers. Communicate effectively with drivers and managers. Monitor driver routes and provide support as needed to optimize pickup schedules. Respond promptly to inquiries and address any issues or concerns related to dispatch. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Utilize dispatch software and communication tools to facilitate efficient workflow and communication. Use radio, phone, or computer to send crews, vehicles, or other field units to appropriate locations Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements. Enter data in the computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information.Competency : Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English. Must be detail-oriented, accurate, flexible, dependable, and a team player. Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships. You must have outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities. Must also possess sound judgment and critical thinking skills, active listening, and excellent communication skills.
Physical demands : The position primarily requires sitting, typing, and viewing a computer. Other less frequent physical demands include bending and lifting.
Preferred education and experience: High School Diploma or GED. Successful candidate with 1-3 years of experience is preferred
