The OpportunityDescription

We're looking for a Hybrid Data Analyst II, working in the IT (excluding Telecommunication) industry in Fort Collins, Colorado, United States.

  • Participates as a member of team of other data science engineers carrying out the investigation, design, development, execution, and implementation of data science projects to generate new insights, products, technologies, and intellectual property.
  • In accordance with plan, performs/executes data collection and analysis procedures and data insight visualizations for assigned projects.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to perform experiments and validations in accordance with overall plan.
  • Collects, records, and analyzes data using established protocols and processes; communicates findings to other team members for review and feedback.
  • Assists in literature and presentations for peer review, publication, and delivery at industry and scientific events and conferences; creates patent applications and supporting documentation.
  • Uses scientific design and data collection methodologies, tools and analysis packages to collect, validate, and analyze research data.
  • Monitors data migration throughout project life cycle (development, testing, migration, Go live) ensuring smooth operation.
  • Works with Business, IT and Product Data Management to ensure successful data migration.
  • Assesses and ensures data quality.
  • Performs data cleansing and verification.
  • Identifies potential data risks, mitigate them with best practice strategy.
  • Resolves data bottlenecks, bugs with project team.
  • Works throughout testing phase to plan, write training documentation.
  • Interfaces with IT and business subject matter expert (SME) to write business process procedure.
  • Reviews training documentation with business SMEs.
  • Delivers documentation with formatted content to match the publication with user friendly language.
  • Collaborates with peers, junior data scientists and engineers, SMEs and external and internal research and product development partners.
  • Typically partners with high-level Individual Contributors, Managers and Program Core Teams.
  • Supports projects requiring data science engineering.
Experience Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience including graduate or postgraduate research
  • Understanding of design, scientific procedures and processes, and data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language
  • Ability to effectively communicate research plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options
