A central, dedicated, procurement team based out of Malta oversees and leads all company global negotiations and procurement agreements. We are seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Officer to complement this rapidly growing team of industry professionals.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost and shipment capabilities; Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify alternative suppliers; Get involved in negotiations on pricing and terms under the Purchasing Manager’s guidance; Ensure all negotiations and agreements align with the organisation’s budget and standards; Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is maintained; Prepare Purchase Orders and track until orders are delivered; Collaborate with team members on various initiatives and projects to optimise operational and cost efficiencies; Provide regular updates on procurement activities to management; Engage in the workplace with enthusiasm, perseverance, a positive attitude, and flexibility to compliment Vista’s organisational culture.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Previous experience in procurement; Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills; Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; Ability to work under own initiative, independently as well as within a team; Willing to travel if/when required; Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.-
