JOB TITLE: Final Line Mechanic II

LOCATION: Savannah, GA

PAY RATE: $28.75 per hour

Summary: 

 

  • Work in a team-oriented environment to install, assemble, and adjust aircraft parts and system components, ensuring all work meets specifications and passes final inspection.

  • Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing basic repairs, and assisting in the mentoring of junior mechanics.

  • You will use a variety of tools to complete tasks, maintain logs and records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 3 years of aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto mechanics, heavy equipment).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Skilled in close tolerance work (drilling, reaming, fitting parts) and use of special tools.

  • Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality installations.

  • Familiarity with tools like hydraulic mule pumps, permaswage pumps, and line cutting tools.

Desired Skills:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.

  • Experience with Manufacturing competencies.

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam.

  • Knowledge of aircraft certification and final phase testing processes.

  • Ability to mentor junior mechanics and check work for quality assurance.
