Overview


SIG is currently looking for a Desktop Engineer for our Client Engineering Solutions and Infrastructure team. This team is responsible for the Windows OS lifecycle of the firm, global certification of client hardware, application packaging and deployment, and security patch management and configuration management.

We’re looking for someone who has both a strong knowledge of Windows OS and who also enjoys working with hardware. This person will have a mindset towards automation and efficiency, and find motivation in investigating and resolving issues.

A Day in the Life of Our Desktop Engineering Team includes:

Troubleshooting device build issues Creating or updating group policies Investigating software behavior/deployment issues Evaluating new hardware (i.e.– 8k monitors, new graphics cards, etc) Rolling out Windows/Office/3rd Party application security patches Updating software deployment automation
What we're looking for
Strong experience and understanding of PC hardware, firmware, and architecture Deep technical understanding of Windows and the Windows Enterprise environment Demonstratable experience with end point security best practices (I.e.-- Bitlocker, Defender, Exploit Guard, etc.) Microsoft Config Manager and/or Intune experience required Group Policy experience required Application packaging and Microsoft 365 experience preferred Strong Cloud experience preferred Strong technical and troubleshooting skills required Excellent client service, communication and interpersonal skills Scripting experience or an interest in PowerShell BS in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a similar major preferred Will not require visa sponsorship within three years of date of application
