Job Title: Automotive Service Advisor

Job Overview:
As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will act as the liaison between customers and the automotive service department. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, recommending automotive services and repairs, and ensuring the smooth execution of service appointments. You will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival at the service department.
  • Listen attentively to customer concerns and vehicle issues, documenting all relevant information accurately.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs or maintenance services.
  • Provide detailed explanations of recommended services, including cost estimates and timelines.
  • Assist customers in making informed decisions regarding service options based on their vehicle's needs and budget.
  • Schedule service appointments efficiently, considering technician availability and workload.
  • Coordinate with the service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate updates to customers regarding the status of their vehicles, including any unexpected delays or additional repairs.
  • Address any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
  • Process service orders, invoices, and payments accurately using the dealership's systems and procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, service history, and vehicle repairs for future reference.
  • Collaborate with other members of the service team to uphold departmental standards and achieve performance goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technical advancements, and manufacturer-specific service procedures through training and professional development opportunities.
  • Uphold the company's reputation for excellence in customer service and automotive expertise.

Requirements:
     
  • Great attitude, friendly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information in an understandable manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Solid organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and automotive service software.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and maintenance procedures is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
